This policy describes how information is handled when you use Stoja, a macOS focus timer application, and when you use Stoja's public website (including this page). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app or the site.

Who this applies to

"Stoja," "we," and "our" refer to the person or entity that publishes the Stoja app and site. This page is written for end users worldwide; your local laws may give you additional rights.

Information the app stores on your Mac

Stoja keeps your focus session data on your device, including items such as task titles, timer-related preferences, and UI settings you choose inside the app. This data is intended to stay local to your machine and is not sent to our servers by the app for core timer functionality.

Clearing app data, uninstalling Stoja, or erasing your user account on the Mac may delete this stored information depending on how macOS and your system are configured.

Analytics and crash reporting

The Stoja app does not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.

When you contact us or use third-party services

If you send feedback or support requests through a form or service we link to (for example a third-party form provider), the information you submit there is handled under that provider's privacy policy, not only this one. Use those services only if you are comfortable with their terms.

If you email us or message us through another channel, we use your message to respond and to improve the product when appropriate. Do not send sensitive personal data unless you choose to.

This website

Visiting this privacy page or other static pages on our site typically involves standard web server logs (such as IP address and request time) if our host collects them. We use that information only to operate and secure the site. This page does not use advertising cookies or embedded trackers by design; if we add optional scripts later, we will revise this policy.

Children

Stoja is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have received such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Retention and security

Information you keep in the app remains under your control on your device. Information you send us (for example support email) is kept only as long as needed to help you and to meet legal obligations. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; we use reasonable measures appropriate to a small independent product.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app or site after an update means you accept the revised policy, except where applicable law requires a different process.
